Indonesian game studio Glory Jam has officially released Grim Trials on 20 August 2026. Published by Soft Source, Grim Trials is now available on PC via Steam, as well as Xbox, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.
Grim Trials is an action roguelite featuring customisable weapons and equipment. In the game, players take on the role of Avelin, a young woman who meets an untimely death and is recruited as one of Death’s Reapers. She must hunt impure souls and confront her own demons while navigating an underworld shaped by her past.
Players can craft and customise their own weapons and equipment to develop their preferred combat style. Avelin must overcome a series of trials to become a full-fledged Reaper and earn the chance to reunite with the person she loves, who is still alive.
Glory Jam, previously known as Rolling Glory Jam, is an indie game studio based in Bandung, West Java. Previously, Glory Jam has worked on various game projects, including Hello Goodboy, What Comes After, Salah Sambung, and Rage in Peace.
