Comics publisher Elex Media Komputindo will ship Dr. Stone manga to Indonesian bookstores. According to the publisher’s social media account, the manga will be sent to bookstores on July 27, 2022, with a suggested retail price of IDR 45,000 (about US$ 3.05).
Written by Riichiro Inagaki and illustrated by Boichi, Dr. Stone tells the story of Taiju, a middle schooler who lives in the future where most humans are turned into stones because of a mysterious phenomenon. Together with his friend Senku, Taiju tries to find a way to cure all petrified humans using Senku’s chemistry knowledge. The manga was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from March 2017 to March 2022. In Indonesia, Dr. Stone is also available digitally on Sueisha’s digital manga platform Manga Plus.
Elex Media Komputindo is a comics publisher under the Kompas-Gramedia Group. The publisher releases licensed foreign comics, including manga and Indonesian comics. Since 2005, Elex Media also created a new imprint called Level Comics to publish mature-rated comics.
