Indonesian book publisher Elex Media Komputindo will ship the first volume of Alice in Borderland Retry manga to bookstores on 14 August 2024. On Gramedia bookstore’s website, the manga is listed with a suggested retail price of IDR 45,000 (about USD 2.82).

The original Alice in Borderland was written and illustrated by Haro Aso. It was first serialized in Shogakukan’s Shounen Sunday S magazine from November 2010 to March 2015 and later moved to Weekly Shounen Sunday, where it ran from April 2015 to March 2016. The manga tells the story of Ryouhei Arisu, a high schooler with little or no interest in daily life. One day, he and his friends are transported to a strange world called Borderland. In that world, all residents are involved in a high-stakes game where participants bet to survive. For the first time in years, Arisu actually began to feel as though his life had meaning.

Alice in Borderland Retry is a direct sequel to the original Alice in Borderland manga. The series was serialized in the Shuisha’s Weekly Shōnen Sunday magazine from 14 October 2024 to 20 January 2021. The story is once again focused on Ryohei Arisu, years after the ending of the original manga. Now an adult, Arisu live a normal life with his wife and expecting a baby soon. Unfortunately. He is once again trapped in Borderland after a mysterious incident. Arisu has to find escape by participating in a deadly game with other players and reuniting with his family.

In Indonesia, Elex Media has released both Alice in Borderland manga and its spin-off Alice in Border Road. The live-action adaptation of the manga is also available in Indonesia via Netflix.

Elex Media Komputindo is a comics publisher under the Kompas-Gramedia Group. The publisher releases licensed foreign comics, including manga and Indonesian comics. Since 2005, Elex Media has also published comics intended for adult audiences under the new imprint Level Comics.
