StoryTale Studios, a game developer from Bandung, West Java, well known for its horror game series Pamali, is in the middle of creating one more horror game, titled The Devil’s Bride (or Pengantin Iblis The Game in Indonesian). The game is planned to be released on Android and Steam. At the time of this writing, there is no information regarding the release date yet.

The Devil’s Bride (Pengantin Iblis) takes inspiration from Indonesian myth and folktale, continuing StoryTale Studios’ tradition of combining horror element and local culture. In the game, the player is trapped in a haunted house. The player must save their niece, Nina, who is hiding somewhere in the house full of terror, while the Devil’s Bride, a merciless creature, is chasing the player. The player only has 5 days to find Nina, and escape before it’s too late.

Thrilling Chase and Stealth Mechanics

Deeper Horror Elements

Like Pamali, The Devil’s Bride features strong psychological horror elements. Players will feel the tension through the dark atmosphere, mysterious voices, and the presence of supernatural entities that haunt every step. The game mechanics are also designed to challenge players with puzzles to solve, as well as decisions that will affect the overall storyline.

Visual Design and Cultural Nuances

The Devil’s Bride presents a visual design that reflects the atmosphere of a traditional Indonesian village, complete with wooden houses, dense forests, and sacred places that exude a mystical aura. Background music and sound effects are also designed to enhance the immersive experience, depicting deep tension in every scene.

The Devil’s Bride can now be wish-listed on Steam and Android. Previously, the live action film version was also released in theaters.
