To mark their 10th anniversary, Japanese VTuber agency Hololive released their special stream called Hololive Next. During this broadcast, Hololive gave their fans several important updates and announcements. What were these announcements? Let us summarize what Hololive has announced for #Kaoreaders.
The first announcement is the launch of Hololive’s 10th anniversary project. Titled as Hololive Next, this project will be a new official program in the form regularly scheduled broadcast news livestreams. The first episode aired on Monday (7/9) and featured Hololive members Tokino Sora, Ninomae Ina’nis, and Kobo Kanaeru, while Cover Corp. CEO Motoaki Tanigo hosted the premiere.
For the 10th anniversary, the Hololive Next project also launched a dedicated website. In the leading-up to the big day, this website will provide regular updates on the projects Hololive intends to carry out. Additionally, it will serve as a hub for deep dives into the news featured in the Hololive Next broadcasts.
Cover Corp. CEO Motoaki Tanigo, also known as Yagoo, also made the announcement that all Hololive branches, including Hololive Japan, Hololive English, Hololive Indonesia, and Hololive DEV_IS, will be merged into a single Hololive agency.
Furthermore, he clarified that the official accounts and current Hololive YouTube channels will stay separated. Instead, information about all Hololive activities will be shared through the official channels for each corresponding unit, with the language tailored to the intended audience. This suggests that information will be communicated through official channels in the language corresponding to each branch, be it English, Indonesian, or Japanese.
With this change, it is hoped that talents will no longer be limited by geographical branch boundaries, make it easier for them to interact and collaborate together on new content.
As part of the Hololive Next project, Hololive talents will also be receiving significant visual updates. These updates will be released on a regular schedule, considering into account a number of factors, ranging from debut dates to the direction each talent wishes to take with their streams. The initiative aims to enhance and strengthen each talent’s appeal while preserving their original models. The first talent to receive this update was also revealed on the same day, being Tokino Sora.
Hololive has also introduced a new application called Hololive Raku to facilitate its talents’ broadcasts from home. With comprehensive tracking features and a wider range of expressions, this application promises to deliver a new experience for both performers and viewers. Through interactive mini-games and a more immersive atmosphere, allows viewers to interact deeper with the performers. The teaser for Hololive Raku has been available on Hololive official YouTube channel.
Finally, Hololive revealed two new projects. An official Hololive animated series has finally been revealed to be in production, following years of anticipation. The official title and release date of this anime project are among the few details that have been made public thus far. Hololive did, however, confirm the shortened title Odeholo and announced that Studio KAI will be handling the production.
Odeholo‘s first teaser has been released on YouTube, and further information regarding of the anime will be announced on the official X (Twitter) account. Not only that, Hololive will also broadcast a special stream for this anime announcement on Wednesday, 23 September 2026.
In addition, Hololive has also launched their latest unit named ASOBI★MAWARI-TAI!. At the time of this writing, not much has been announced about this unit other than their official X account, with information regarding their members and its debut to be released this September.
