Indonesian voice actor Muhammad Azhary, known for his work as a voice actor and dubber, has passed away. The news was announced by fellow voice actress Tisa Julianti. Azhary passed away on Friday, 1 August 2025, and was laid to rest later that afternoon.

Azhary began his career in 1982, joining the voice acting group Sanggar Prathivi. He gained early recognition through his performances in radio dramas, a popular entertainment format at the time. Later, as private television stations began to emerge in Indonesia, Azhary became a prominent figure in the local dubbing industry.

Throughout his career, Azhary was involved in numerous dubbing projects for both Western and Japanese productions. He voiced Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz in Phineas and Ferb and became the voice behind the Indonesian dub of Bugs Bunny. His anime credits include Tamahome in Fushigi Yuugi, Amon in Dragon League, Maya Yumekoji in Aikatsu, Inspector Matsumoto in Detective Conan, and Senshi in Delicious in Dungeon.

KAORI Nusantara expresses its deepest condolences on the passing of Azhary. May God accept his deeds, forgive his sins and grant fortitude to his family. May his legacy continue to live on and be remembered for generations.
