Official manga platform MANGA Plus by SHUEISHA has announced the launch of its First Read Free campaign in Indonesia. Starting from 4 August 2025, the campaign will allow Indonesian readers to enjoy over 2,000 chapters from 10 popular ongoing manga series free of charge through the MANGA Plus app.
Available on iOS and Android, the campaign includes hit titles such as One Piece, Dandadan, and Spy x Family, all officially translated into Indonesian. Here’s the list of the manga selected for this campaign:

- Ichi the Witch
- Dandadan
- Kaiju No. 8
- Kagurabachi
- Ruri Dragon
- Sakamoto Days
- Boruto: Two Blue Vortex
In their official statement, the editorial team said that this is a part of their mission to deliver high-quality, legal manga content to a broader international audience. “We wanted to expand the campaign to help give new readers the chance to jump into series they’ve been curious about but couldn’t fully enjoy because they missed some chapters.” said Shuhei Hosono, MANGA Plus’ Editor-in-Chief.
Operated directly by Shueisha’s editorial team in Japan, MANGA Plus is a global digital manga platform that provides official, simultaneous chapter releases of Shueisha’s manga in multiple languages. As of this article’s publication, it supports nine languages, including English, Spanish, French, Indonesian, Thai, Portuguese, Russian, German, and Vietnamese.
