Denpasar-based studio Engram Interactive showcased the demo of its upcoming narrative-driven game, Project Izakaya, during the Indonesian Game Developer Exchange (IGDX) 2025, held from 9 to 11 October 2025 at The Stones Hotel, Kuta, Bali.

Known for its cyberpunk RPG Fractured Core, which launched on 14 August 2025, Engram Interactive now turns its focus to a more grounded, emotional experience. Project Izakaya invites players to step into the role of a host at a small eatery, serving food with care while connecting with a variety of visitors.

Each day, the players will encounter new faces and problems, from high school students, orphans, tired lawyers, and detectives seeking the answer to a mystery, those guests will come to the player’s izakaya. Players will not only lend a listening ear but also guide these guests towards resolving their personal struggles.

The studio describes Project Izakaya as a reflective experience about connecting with others, whether with loved ones, family, or the community around the player. Currently, the demo is not available to the public. However, a Steam page for the game is planned to launch in November, with the game’s full release planned for next year.
