Written and illustrated by Uoto, the original manga 100 Meters tells the story of Togashi, a talented sprinter who wins every 100-meter race without effort. But in sixth grade, he meets Komiya, a transfer student who is full of determination but lacks technique. While Togashi teach Komiya the sprinting technique, he also gives him a new purpose: to win no matter what. Years later, Togashi and Komiya reunite as genuine rivals in the 100-meter race.

The manga was serialised on Kodansha’s Pocket website and app from November 2018 to August 2019. Its chapters were collected into five tankoubon volumes. In 2024, a film adaptation of the manga was announced, with Kenji Iwaisawa directing and Rock ‘n’ Roll Mountain Studio animating the film.

The film was first released on 19 September 2025 in Japan. The film premiered in Indonesian cinemas on 7 November 2025, distributed by CBI Pictures.
