Indonesian video game developer Mankibo has launched a time-limited open beta for Montabi, giving players an opportunity to try the upcoming title ahead of its full release. The open beta is available on Steam from 10 to 17 March 2026.

Published by Akupara Games, the open beta allows players to explore a wide range of the game’s systems and content. Participants can test 22 Montabi evolution lines that appear as both allies and enemies, alongside three playable trainers equipped with unique starting Charms.

The beta also includes nine Elite encounters and six bosses, spread across three distinct areas containing a total of 30 events. Players will be able to experiment with more than 170 charms, equipment items, and supplies, while adjusting the challenge through five difficulty levels: Casual, Rookie, Challenger, Expert, and Veteran.

Montabi is a creature-collector roguelike deckbuilder that challenges players to tame monsters, build powerful decks, and save the city from evil. In the game, the players will assemble a team of Montabi and engage in turn-based battles on a 3×3 grid system. Every Montabi can evolve, unlock new skills, and form synergies that shape the outcome of each battle.

The game was first announced in 2025. Its initial demo launched in June 2025, followed by a major update in November of the same year. The exact release date of the game has not been announced yet.
