ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION is finally back in Indonesia! Unlike their previous performance in 2023, the ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION 30th Anniversary Special Concert Live in Jakarta concert on 18 April 2026 is also featured by two other bands: The Adams and [Alexandros]!

Long-Awaited Since Afternoon

The ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION 30th Anniversary Special Concert: Thirty Revolution in Jakarta is the band’s sole concert tour in Southeast Asia. ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION fans not only from Indonesia, but from other Southeast Asian countries like Malaysia and Thailand also flocked to the concert. The presence of The Adams and [Alexandros], both of whom also have loyal fan bases, made the concert even more crowded.
Although the concert officially began at 1830 Western Indonesian Time, the audience had already started filling the venue as early as 1500. Clearly, they could not wait to see ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION perform again in Indonesia.
Opening ceremony: The Adams, Indonesian Version of “Makuake”!

At precisely 1830 Western Indonesian Time, the ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION 30th Anniversary Special Concert Live in Jakarta finally began. The Adams immediately lit up the stage with their song Masa-Masa with its gripping keyboard hook, followed by another of their song Pelantur.
This indie rock band, which consists of Ario Hendarwan (vocals, guitar), Saleh Husein (vocals, guitar), Gigih Suryo Prayogo (drums, vocals), and Setia Darmawan (bass), had a surprise in store: they sang one of ASIANG KUNG-FU GENERATION’s latest songs, Makuake, in the Indonesian language!

Next, they performed their song Timur, dedicated to the victims of the ongoing conflict in Palestine. At the end of their performance, they sang two songs that the Adams fans who packed the concert had been eagerly anticipating: Konservatif and Halo Beni.

[Alexandros]’s performance is getting hotter!

Even though the ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION hadn’t even taken the stage yet, the crowd was getting heated by [Alexandros’] performance! They immediately launched into three powerful opening songs: Girl A (:D), Boy Fearless, and Mosquito Bite. The band, fronted by Kawakami Yoohei (vocals, guitar), Shirai Masaki (guitar), Isobe Hiroyuki (bass), and Riad Ib (drums), then lightened the mood with Appergio, the theme song for the Yakuza/Like a Dragon spin-off game, Judgment!
After an MC session by Yoohei, who speaks fluent English, [Alexandros] rocked the GBK Basketball Hall arena again with Senkou, the soundtrack for the Gundam: Hathaway Flash, followed by Starrrrr, which has a more relaxed vibe.

Towards the end of his performance, [Alexandros] finally performed a song the audience had been waiting for: Koeru, the opening theme for Umamusume: Cinderella Gray. They closed with Wataridori, which boasted a sweet melody.

Finally, the long-awaited ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION!

Around 2115 Western Indonesian Time, ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION, the main stars of the concert, finally took the stage. Continuing the vibe from [Alexandros’] closing performance, they performed Shinseiki no Love Song, which also had a very relaxed vibe and was dominated by Kiyoshi’s distinctive drum beats, before immediately stepping into After Dark, the theme song for the anime Bleach.
For those who came to the concert because they were familiar with the anime soundtracks, Ajikan also performed a variety of other equally enjoyable songs from their three-decade career, such as Life is Beautiful, Blue Train, Loop & Loop, and, of course, the uptempo Solanin, which stirred the emotions of the audience.

The band, fronted by Masafumi Gotoh (vocals and guitar), Kensuke Kita (guitar), Takahiro Yamada (bass), and Kiyoshi Ijichi (drums), continued with the song Re:Re: from the anime soundtrack Boku Dake Ga Inai Machi and Bocchi the Rock. They also previously performed their latest song, Skins, which served as the opening theme for the latest season of DR. STONE, and was also enthusiastically received by the audience. Ajikan guitarist, Kensuke Kita, also showcased his vocal skills with the song Uso to Wonderland at this concert.
Towards the end of the concert, ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION began performing their signature songs, including Blood Circulator (Naruto Shippuden OST), Rewrite (Full Metal Alchemist OST), and then “closed” with one of their latest songs, MAKUAKE.

After 1.5 hours on stage, the members of the ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION finally came off the stage. However, the audience remained, chanting encore in unison, hoping they would perform one or two final songs to truly close out the concert.
Later at around 2245 Western Indonesian Time, ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION finally returned to the stage to perform their final two songs: Korogaru Iwa, Kimi ni Asa ga Furu, which also served as the Bocchi the Rock! soundtrack that feels sentimental for many listeners, and of course, the beloved song Haruka Kanata, which successfully evoked a sense of nostalgia, especially for those familiar with the band from the Naruto anime series!

[Alexandros] successfully lit up the stage with his absolutely flat, energetic performance from start to finish. And after a year’s delay, Ajikan successfully delivered another gift to their fans with a stunning performance, right on the band’s 30th anniversary concert tour.
