At Comic Frontier (Comifuro) 22 on 16 to 17 May 2026, at ICE BSD, Tangerang, one of VTuber agencies from Indonesia, Project:LIVIUM, opened a booth at the event, introducing a variety of new products following their absence from Comifuro 21.

Located at booth AC-08/09, the KAORI team had the opportunity to chat briefly with Krim, one of Project:LIVIUM’s staff and talent managers. When we visited, the booth was constantly bustling with visitors. We even had to queue before we could speak with the staff member on duty.

Curious? Here’s a summary from our interview with Krim from Project:LIVIUM.

First, can you introduce yourself?

My name is Krim. I am one of the staff members at Project:LIVIUM and the talent manager for Lillis Infernallies, one of the VTubers from Project:LIVIUM Chapter:02.

What do you think is the biggest challenge to surviving in the current VTuber industry?

I think the biggest challenge is maintaining a sense of camaraderie while simultaneously narrowing the gap within the community, especially between long-time and newer fans.

Furthermore, we’re constantly navigating developments within the VTuber industry, particularly when it comes to identifying new trends, understanding what is safe to adopt, and determining what should be avoided. That’s why we’re always adapting and being flexible with each new thing.

Our unique position in the VTuber world also presents unique challenges. This is reinforced by our community, which, since the very beginning, has prioritised strengthening and solidifying its solidarity first. This allows for smoother integration, whether in terms of newcomers joining or new ideas, and is more easily accepted by the community.

What is your solution to this biggest challenge?

Our solution used to be to frequently engage various communities through our online events. Furthermore, since 2023, we have consistently held various events, both online and offline, inviting everyone to participate, including our community. This aims to continue strengthening community bonds while providing memorable experiences.

What are your hopes for the future of the VTuber industry in Indonesia?

We hope the industry will continue to grow, both in terms of the number of participating VTubers and the number of fans. We also hope more people will become interested in VTubers, which will help increase awareness of the industry as a whole.

The arrival of Project: LIVIUM Chapter: 03, coupled with the ongoing auditions, has left a lasting impression on VTuber fans. What makes this new chapter special for you?

When Chapter:03 was first introduced, the enthusiasm from our community was extraordinary because it marked the first time LIVIUM introduced a male VTuber through a new chapter. The timing of the auditions also aligned perfectly with the launch, creating a very positive and unexpected response.

The introduction of Chapter:03 was the result of years of comprehensive research into the VTuber industry and market, both in Indonesia and internationally. We also held discussions with our talents, fellow staff members, and even our community regarding the addition of a new chapter and male talent before making the announcement.

Competition in the VTuber industry is getting fiercer every day, especially in 2026. How can Project:LIVIUM remain relevant and continue to prosper today?

In my opinion, for Project:LIVIUM to remain relevant and continue to grow today, the first step is allowing every LIVIUM talent the freedom to interact and collaborate with people beyond just fellow VTubers. This helps prevent us from becoming trapped within the VTuber bubble and also leads to memorable collaborations, such as Squad Kocak.

Secondly, we consistently contribute positively to the community through both online and offline events, often incorporating various surprises into each event.

Thirdly, and most importantly, we maintain positive communication with everyone we work with. This not only reduces potential friction but also strengthens and deepens relationships with each other.

Thank you for the interview, Krim. We wish Project:LIVIUM further success and growth in the future!
