Previously, it was announced that the Learning to Love My Cat-like Classmate (Tonari no Neko to Koi Shirazu) manga would be published in Indonesia. In Litaku, a YouTube channel managed by Elex Media Komputindo and m&c! publisher, it was hinted that the manga will be available in Indonesia around the first week of July.
On Monday (6/8), m&c! publisher has confirmed that Learning to Love My Cat-like Classmate will be shipped to bookstores across Indonesia on 8 July. The manga will come with a suggested retail price of IDR 50,000 (Around USD 2.78).
Written and illustrated by Akinoko, Learning to Love My Cat-like Classmate tells the story of Minato Seno. He is a shy and lonely high school student who befriended his classmate Mugi Nekozane due to their shared interests in cats and photography. As time passes, they slowly start to develop feelings for each other.
The manga was first published on Akinoko’s Twitter account in November 2023. It later began parallel serialisation in Square Enix’s seinen manga magazine Monthly Big Gangan on 15 April 2024. As of April 2026, the chapters have been compiled into six tankoubon volumes.
m&c! is an Indonesian comics publisher under the Kompas-Gramedia group. In addition to publishing manga, the publisher publishes Disney comics, Hong Kong martial arts comics, and Indonesian comics under the Koloni imprint. The publisher also has the Akasha imprint for mature comics and the Clover imprint for domestic and translated novels.
