Milky Subway: The Galactic Limited Express (Japanese title: Ginga Tokkyu: Mirukī Sabuwei) 3D anime is now available with an Indonesian dub since 1 June 2026 on Netflix.
For the dubbing production, Rainbow Studio is credited as the dubbing studio for the Indonesian dub. Lala Sitompul is credited as the dialogue director.

Directed, written, and independently produced by Yohei Kameyama, Milky Subway: The Galactic Limited Express tells the story of Chiharu, a genetically enhanced “superhuman”, and Makina, a cyborg, who are arrested for breaking space traffic laws and sentenced to perform community service alongside four other prisoners on the Milky Subway, an interplanetary train used for travel. The group has to work quickly to find a solution when the train is unexpectedly activated.
Milky Subway: The Galactic Limited Express was developed as a sequel to Milky Highway, an original net animation (ONA) released in 2022 as a graduation project, which garnered 6.75 million views on both English-subtitled and original versions on YouTube.
On 3 July 2025, the sequel was premiered on Tokyo MX with simultaneous streaming on YouTube, with a number of languages available for dubbing options, including English, Portuguese, Spanish, Korean, Chinese, Thai, Indonesian, French, Hindi and Russian.
Japanese music group Candies performed the song Gingakei made Tonde Ike! as the series’ theme song. In the final episode, an insert song titled Tokimeki Meteostrike was performed by one of the characters from Milky Subway: The Galactic Limited Express, Minami Miyase, voiced by Japanese voice actress Yukari Tamura.
On 6 February 2026, a new re-edited version of Milky Subway was then screened in Japanese cinemas. Netflix would stream this version for international release on 1 June 2026.
In the same year, on 19 September 2025, a manga adaptation based on the same title was published in Shonen Ace Plus. Yohei Kameyama would supervise the manga version created by Don Kouya.
