In Japan, The Promised Neverland spin-off novel was first released in June 2018. The first novel, titled The Promised Neverland: A Letter from Norman, tells the story of Norman, one of the orphans who try to escape from Grace Field House, as he recollects the memory he spent with Emma at Grace Field House.
As for the manga, here is the synopsis described by Elex Media Komputindo:
The woman whom I loved as a mother is not my real mother. Those who lived with me were not my siblings…
Emma, Norman, and Ray lived a happy life at this small orphanage. However, one day, their happy life suddenly had come to an end.
What their destiny is like after they learned the cruel truth behind this orphanage?
Writer Kaiu Shirai and illustrator Posuka Demizu began the serialization of The Promised Neverland in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump in August 2016. The serialization ended in June 2020, collecting 20 tankoubon volumes in total. In Indonesia, the manga is first published on July 3, 2019.
Elex Media Komputindo is a publishing unit under the Kompas-Gramedia Group. The publisher releases licensed foreign comics, including manga, Japanese light novels, and Indonesian comics.
