Synopsis
Two sisters who came from a crippling noble family. Both have contradicting lives, Marie needs to spend her life under her sister’s shadow due to her looks. Her sister needs all the attention that the family need to be a more proper noble. One night during her birthday, her sister was finally proposed to by a wealthy noble. Little did anyone know that a tragedy would soon take her sister’s life away. Hence, Marie needs to replace her. Will Marie be able to win the heart of his future husband and live a better life?

Cakra Bhirawa (The Indonesian Anime Times)
Possibly one of the hidden gem anime that I have found in Summer 2025. The first episode of this anime really resonated with me in terms of the emotional connection to the protagonist. At first, it started with a classic story where a child is being mistreated due to the family’s condition, the world building on how the protagonist is being treated even lower than a maid, even though she’s their own flesh and blood, really boils my feelings. Even on her special day, they acted like it was nothing. For this kind of story, I do really hope that the protagonist will get a better life, and those who mistreated her will feel how she felt. One of the things that really hit me the most is actually the plot twist that I was not expecting at all. I will not spoil it, but during the scene between Marie & her sister, it was a plot twist that I wasn’t expecting, and it builds on the emotional connection I have with Marie & the anime as a whole. For now, this is my hidden gem that I would want to watch every week to see how she can live a better life.
Personal note: to be fair, I thought this was an NTR anime….
