Synopsis
Shigeru Yoshioka, a middle-aged salaryman with a bad look, was wrongly convicted of a crime of public harassment. Because of this, he lost everything, and people distanced themselves from him, causing him to be a NEET. However, during a certain night, he found a secret that let him travel to another world that could suit the dream that he wanted. He then debuffs himself to be uglier & unlucky, which allows him to have more points to be allocated. These “points” now put him into an “Absolute God”. Here’s his story about being the strongest man alive in another world with an ugly look!

Have you ever watched an anime where the protagonist is an ugly man who is overpowered? Most of the time, the protagonist reincarnated as a young man, to even a cool or handsome man. But nope! This time, imagine an ugly person becoming the protagonist, and he is also the most polite and good guy in this world. The premise of the anime at least managed to make me consider watching this anime, even though I had no interest in this anime, but since it’s available to be watched at Ani-One Asia, I thought, why not watch it?
Well, Uglymug, Epicfighter is neither good nor bad, just average. At least, the world-building is okay-ish just because it tries to make the protagonist empathetic. However, because of the nature of the premise, I don’t have any interest in him. Yes, he’s ugly, but it still lacks a kick to make me feel interested in seeing his character development. On the other hand, the visuals look quite cute, at least for the girls. This might not be the anime for everyone, but at least you can just enjoy watching how weird this anime is.
