On Tuesday (6/12), Elex Media Komputindo posted a list of the publisher’s ten best-selling comics for January 2024. Spy x Family volume 11 takes first place, followed by Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba volume 16 and Jujutsu Kaisen volume 13 in second and third place.

Illustrated by Tatsuya Endo, Spy x Family tells the story of a spy who works under the codename Twilight. His latest mission is to approach the extremely cautious politician Donovan Desmond by infiltrating his son’s school. To do that, Twilight has to put together a (phoney) family with an orphan girl named Anya as a (phoney) daughter and an ordinary civil servant named Yor as a (phoney) wife. The manga has been serialized on Shueisha’s Shounen Jump+ website and app since March 2019 with the English version released simultaneously on Shueisha’s Manga Plus website and app.
Written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotōge, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba tells the story of Tanjirou Kamado, the eldest son of a poor family that lives during the Taisho era. One day, his whole family were slaughtered by an unknown demon when he was away from home. The only family member who survived is her little sister Nezuko. Unfortunately, Nezuko also begins to transform into a demon. Now Tanjirou has to undergo a dangerous journey to find a cure for his half-demon sister.
Written and illustrated by Gege Akutami, Jujutsu Kaisen manga tells the story of Yuji Itadori, a student who lives in a world where negative energy called Curse can bring disaster to the world. Itadori’s life changed as he became a student at a school that trains Curse exterminators. The manga has been serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump since March 2018. The manga also received an anime adaptation, which began airing in October 2020.
Elex Media Komputindo is a comics publisher under the Kompas-Gramedia Group. The publisher releases licensed foreign comics, including manga, and also Indonesian comics. Since 2005, Elex Media also published comics that were intended for adult audiences under the new imprint called Level Comics.
