On Tuesday (24/09), the Japanese Film Festival Indonesia‘s social media account announced the JFF Indonesia 2024 event lineup. In total, 14 films will be screened. The lineup includes both GODZILLA (1954) and GODZILLA MINUS ONE, various anime films from AKIRA to SAND LAND, the recently popular All the Long Nights, and more.

The festival will be held in six Indonesian cities: Jakarta, Bandung, Makassar, Yogyakarta, Palembang, and Surabaya. Here is the detailed schedule:

Prior to this event, the Japan Foundation also held the Japanese Film Festival Online 2024 in June. They also released JFF Theater, an online and free streaming service to watch Japanese films. There are various live-action and animation films in JFF Theater, and the library is constantly being updated with more collections.
The Japanese Film Festival is an annual film screening event that focuses on showcasing Japanese films. As of 2019, JFF has been held in 12 countries across the world, including Australia, Russia, China, India, and many Southeast Asian countries, including Indonesia. Films screened at past events in Indonesia include One Cut of the Dead, Samurai Shifters, The Tale of Princess Kaguya, Mary and The Witch’s Flower, and My Broken Mariko.
