Film distributor CBI Pictures has announced that DANDADAN: Evil Eye will be screened in Indonesian cinemas. The film will be premiered on 13 June 2025.

Prior to the Indonesian release, CGV Cinemas Indonesia will host a special screening event at CGV FX Sudirman, Jakarta, on Saturday, 7 June 2025, at 1800 West Indonesian Time (WIT). Attendees of this advance screening will also receive exclusive bonuses.

The original story of Dan Da Dan tells the story of Momo. She was born into a family of psychics and her classmate who is an occult maniac, Okarun. The two started talking after Momo helped Okarun, a bullied child. However, a disagreement breaks out between them. To make each other believe in aliens and ghosts, Momo goes to the hospital’s ruins where the UFO appeared and Okarun goes to the haunted tunnel. There, the two encounter extraordinary entities that go beyond common sense.

Dan Da Dan: Evil Eye is a compilation film that consists of the first three episodes of Dan Da Dan’s second season. It focuses on the Evil Eye arc of the manga and tells the story of Jiji, a childhood friend of Momo who is haunted by a mysterious Yokai. To investigate this yokai, Momo and Okarun visit Jiji’s house in a mysterious hot springs town.

The original Dan Da Dan manga has been serialized in Shueisha’s Shōnen Jump+ app and website since April 2021, with its chapters collected in 19 tankōbon volumes as of May 2025. The first season of Dan Da Dan’s anime adaptation premiered in October 2024, while the second season is scheduled to air in July 2025.
