Ahead of the 2026 Formula 1 (F1) race held in the Suzuka Circuit, Japan, one of the F1 teams, TGR Haas F1 Team, has announced their collaboration with Toho’s kaijuu franchise, Godzilla. Turns out, they are not the only team that collaborated with an otaku product.
On Thursday (26/3), the Atlassian Williams Racing Formula 1 team announced a collaboration with Mainichi Broadcasting System (MBS) to produce a Dan Da Dan-themed capsule collection. The line will include watches designed and developed by the watch brand Undone.
Outside of the watches, further details about the type of product have not been announced yet. However, the collection is expected to become available later this year.
According to Williams, the collaboration forms part of the team’s broader strategy to connect with Formula 1’s expanding global audience through cross-industry initiatives. With more than 800 million fans worldwide and a growing younger demographic, the partnership aims to combine motorsport with wider pop culture interests.
“It’s incredible to be able to bring the worlds of anime and Formula 1 together for the very first time – showcasing a new side of Williams and building on the joy and energy of major Japanese brands Dan Da Dan and Undone ahead of the Japanese Grand Prix,” said Luke Timmins, the Merchandise and Licensing Director of Williams.
This project builds on the ongoing collaboration between Williams and Undone, which first began in July 2025. Previous releases include two watches, the FW47 and the Carbono, with both designs inspired by Formula 1.
