Indonesian manga publisher m&c! has hinted at the publication of Kenji Inoue and Kimitake Yoshioka‘s Grand Blue in Indonesia. On their social media, the publisher has posted a photo of Grand Blue manga volume one, two, and three, with the caption “Teh oolong (Oolong tea)”, a caption which refers to an inside joke within the manga itself.
Written by Kenji Inoue and illustrated by Kimitake Yoshioka, Grand Blue tells the story of Iori Kitahara, a university freshman who continues his education at a university in the Izu Peninsula. As he arrived at Izu, he dreamed about the rose-tinted college life that he would soon be joining. However, his vision quickly shattered as he was duped into joining the university diving club. Rather than having the ideal college life, Iori has to spend his time with a group full of buff men who spend more time drinking, partying, and stripping naked than actually diving.
The manga has been serialised in Kodansha‘s seinen manga magazine Good! Afternoon since April 2014. An anime television series adaptation by Zero-G aired from July to September 2018, while a live-action film adaptation was released in August 2020. Airing this season, summer 2025, Grand Blue is back with season 2. In Indonesia, the anime was available on Amazon Prime.

m&c! is an Indonesian comics publisher under the Kompas-Gramedia group. Other than publishing manga, the publisher also publishes Disney comics magazines, books, Hong Kong martial arts comics, as well as Indonesian comics under the Koloni imprint. The publisher also has the Akasha imprint for mature-rated comics and the Clover imprint for domestic and translated novels.
