On Tuesday (19/8), Indonesian video game studio Hiscory has released a new trailer for their new game Teller’s Duty. The game demo is currently available on Steam, while the exact release date has not been announced yet.

Set in 1980, Teller’s Duty places players in the role of a new bank teller at Kertasia Bank, a job secured through a distant uncle. However, the position quickly becomes more than just counting cash, as the bank is governed by absurd rules enforced by a dysfunctional government. Players must spot forgeries, deal with difficult customers, and navigate ever-changing policies while also struggling to pay for their mother’s medical treatment.

The game promises over 100 unique customer encounters, each posing unpredictable demands and moral dilemmas. Blending simulation mechanics with a satirical dystopian narrative, Teller’s Duty challenges players to balance job performance, ethical choices, and personal survival.

The game is developed by a Batam-based video game studio Hiscory. Previously known as 4Happy Studio, they are the developer behind the Indonesian psychological horror game Let Me Out, which was launched in August 2024.
