On Sunday (10/8), it was revealed that the light novel One Piece: Heroines will receive an anime adaptation. The announcement was made at the One Piece Day 2025 event, with the detailed release date and the animation format have not been announced yet.

Originally written by Jun Esaka and illustrated by Sayaka Suwa, One Piece: Heroines light novel presents a collection of short stories that tell the story of various female characters from the One Piece manga. From Nami‘s story in a fashion show, Robin‘s adventure to decipher an ancient tablet, the story of Princess Vivi‘s love letter, and Perona‘s “battle” against Zoro and Mihawk, the light novel shows the standalone stories of the characters in the middle of their adventure.

The anime will be directed by Haruka Kamatani (One Piece in Love ONA). Momoka Toyoda (My Happy Marriage) handles the script, and Takashi Kojima (The Heike Story, Flip Flappers) is in charge of character design.

The light novel was initially serialised in One Piece Magazine from December 2019 to September 2023, spanning eight chapters. These were later compiled into two tankoubon volumes, each featuring an exclusive bonus chapter not included in the original magazine run.
