From a manga series by Kohei Horikoshi, the original My Hero Academia manga tells of a boy named Izuku Midoriya who was born without any superpowers in a world where most of the population possesses superhuman abilities called “quirk”. In spite of that, he still wants to be a superhero by applying to the superhero school, U.A. High School. His fate changed when he met with his idol, the top hero All Might. Later, he enrols in U.A. Academy, a hero school, where he meets other would-be superheroes. Deku and his friends then set out on a quest to learn more and develop into real superheroes who will defend the public from danger.

The manga was serialised in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from July 2014 to August 2024. The manga series was eventually adapted into several anime series, including a side story adaptation My Hero Academia: Vigilantes. In Indonesia, the anime is broadcast on RTV and NET (now MDTV) while m&c! published the manga.
