On 7 June 2024, hololive Vtubers Mori Calliope (Calli) and Kobo Kanaeru released their new song Midnight Mayoi. The song is currently available on Mori Calliope’s YouTube Channel and other music streaming services.
Before the release, Mori Calliope already announced her collaboration with Kobo Kanaeru on her social media. This announcement was made on 3 June 2024, 4 days before the song’s release.
Calli composed the song alongside Joint Beauty. Calli is also writing the lyrics, together with Kobo Kanaeru and Rosskeyy.
Tete is credited as the producer and director of the video. The character illustration was provided by Nemu. Itousa is credited as the background illustrator.
Midnight Mayoi is Calli’s first collaboration song with Kobo. The song is also part of Calli’s second and upcoming new album, Phantomime, which will be released on 16 August 2024.
Mori Calliope and Kobo Kanaeru are virtual talents from hololive EN and hololive ID respectively with both virtual talent agencies owned by Cover Ltd. Currently, they are active on YouTube with Mori Calliope has 2.38 million subscribers and Kobo Kanaeru with 2.45 million subscribers as of 8 June 2024.
