The Elusive Samurai or Nige Jouzu no Wakagimi (Nigewaka) or The Young Master Who Is Good at Escaping is an anime based on the same-titled comic book written by Yusei Matsui, best known for his work on the Assassination Classroom series. The narrative of this comic covers the period between the Kamakura and Muromachi periods, known as the Kenmu Restoration. There’s Tokiyuki Hojo, a young man on the run since Takauji Ashikaga toppled his family. The crafty priest and his adherents are his only allies. To reclaim his glory, he must exact revenge using his one and only weapon—superhuman hiding and escaping abilities.
