Studio Ghibli’s well-known animated classic Grave of The Fireflies is now available with an Indonesian dub on Netflix. CS Pro Studio is credited as the dubbing studio, with Nanang Niskalla serving as the dialogue director.

Also known in Japan as Hotaru no Haka, Grave of the Fireflies is an adaption of a semi-autobiographical short novel written by Akiyuki Nosaka. It tells the story of two siblings, Seita and Setsuko, two children who live in Japan during the World War II period. The novel is based on Nosaka’s real-life experiences during the war, in which he lost both his father and sibling.
The short novel was first published in 1967 in the monthly magazine Oru Yomimono. Grave of the Fireflies. The novel was later adapted into an animated feature in 1988 directed by Isao Takahata and animated by Studio Ghibli. In addition to Ghibli’s animated version, two live-action adaptations are also released in 2005 and 2008. The novel has been published in Indonesia by Odise Books.
