On Monday (11/8), film distributor CBI Pictures announced that they will screen Jujutsu Kaisen: Hidden Inventory/Premature Death – The Movie in Indonesia. The film will be available in Indonesian cinemas on 5 September 2025.
The film will tell the story of Jujutsu Kaisen‘s Hidden Inventory/Premature Death arc. The story tells the past of Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto, long before they became enemies. Back when they were high school classmates and friends, the two powerful sorcerers were tasked with protecting Riko Amanai. Pursued by a religious cult and other curse users, they are the only sorcerers capable of carrying out such a difficult task. However, this mission will set their destinies and challenge the two sorcerers in ways unimaginable.
Written and illustrated by Gege Akutami, the original Jujutsu Kaisen manga tells the story of Yuji Itadori, a student who lives in a world where negative energy called Curse can bring disaster to the world. Itadori’s life changed when he became a student at a school that trains Curse Exterminators. The manga has been serialised in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump since March 2018. The manga also received an anime adaptation, which aired in October 2020.
In Indonesia, the manga has been published by Elex Media Komputindo. The first volume was published in Indonesia in January 2021, while its spin-off, Jujutsu Kaisen 0, was also published in Indonesia in August 2022. The film adaptation of Jujutsu Kaisen 0 was also screened in Indonesia, premiering on 16 March 16 2022, after a series of early screening events from 13 to 15 March 2022.
