PT Dream Forge Creation (DFC), an Indonesian game developer and publisher, has entered a partnership with PT Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (IOH) to strengthen the development and distribution of Indonesian video games.
As part of the agreement, IOH will act as an official distribution partner for DFC’s games. This includes the introduction of data package bundles designed to make the games more affordable and convenient for Indonesian players.
According to DFC, the collaboration also involves efforts to support young developers and indie studios through incubation programmes and other initiatives. “Dream Forge Creation is committed to contributing to the long-term growth of the Indonesian games industry,” said Yu Kun, Director of PT Dream Forge Creation Indonesia. “Through this partnership with Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, we hope to create more opportunities for young people and indie developers to grow, supported by incubation programmes and collaborative initiatives.”
Yu also added that the company is preparing a digital platform that will allow curated titles from local developers to be marketed more efficiently. “In line with our mission to nurture local talent, we are also preparing a digital platform to help developers market their games more quickly and efficiently, following curation by our internal team,” said Yu.
Furthermore, he highlighted that this collaboration aligns with the government’s call for more child-friendly games, noting the current dominance of foreign-made titles in the domestic market.
“We are committed to creating child-friendly content, while also delivering games that are engaging and relevant to current trends. We believe this partnership with Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison will not only strengthen our business in Indonesia but also introduce a new model of distribution tailored to the needs of gamers, while remaining accessible to the wider public,” Yu added.
PT refers to “Perseroan Terbatas”, an Indonesian legal entity type similar to the American LLC.
