Indie game developer Underscore Projekt has unveiled Josette: Death of a Star. A demo is now available on itch.io, with the exact release date has not been announced yet.
Josette: Death of a Star is a visual novel otome that combines romance with a murder mystery. Set in the year of 1959, the players will assume the role of Sergeant Cosette, who must impersonate her late twin sister, jazz singer Josette Bellange, while investigating her death.
The demo offers 45 minutes of gameplay, three romanceable suspects, and quick-time events. The game is directed by Indonesian illustrator and scriptwriter WNM Awanama, with other staff including illustrators, voice actors and audio designers from various nationalities.
