Gameseed 2026 has concluded at the Indonesia Game Developer Exchange (IGDX) 2026 in Bali, with four projects receiving awards across the programme’s PC and Mobile categories.
Beware!, developed by Llama and Lizard, took first place in the PC category. Meanwhile, Masbook: Doomscrolling, developed by Summerland, won first place in the Mobile category.
The remaining PC awards went to Little Mayor by A FAIR Studio, which took second place, and Nearsight by Socotri, which finished third.
Gameseed 2026 Attracted More Than 2,300 Participants
Gameseed is a game development competition and incubation program created through a collaboration between the Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency of the Republic of Indonesia and the Indonesian Game Association (AGI).
It is sponsored by Garena, with The Zero Stress as the publishing partner, and supported by Indie Games Group Indonesia (IGGI). The 2026 edition featured PC and Mobile categories, giving local developers a platform to develop their games and introduce them to the industry.
According to the organisers, Gameseed 2026 attracted 2,314 participants across 469 teams. The PC category involved 2,056 participants across 403 teams, while the Mobile category featured 258 participants from 66 teams. The programme combined several stages, including matriculation, a game jam, curation, incubation and final pitching.
During the game jam, participants submitted 231 games based on three themes: So Absurd, It’s Cool, Inner Childhood Dream, and Meme Driven. The themes were intended to encourage participants to develop games with the potential to attract wider audiences.
Following the curation stage, shortlisted projects were reviewed by judges before selected teams entered the incubation programme. A total of 20 teams received mentorship from 20 industry mentors, with the incubation process focusing on areas including gameplay, visual direction and market readiness.
Six teams eventually progressed to the final pitching stage, comprising five PC projects and one Mobile project. The finalists continued preparing their demos, pitches and business strategies before showcasing their games at IGDX 2026 in Bali.
