Indonesian video game developer Akhir Pekan Studio has announced its next video game project, Comic Book Store Simulator, which is set to launch in the third quarter of 2025. The game will be available on Windows PC via Steam, as well as Android and iOS devices.
In Comic Book Store Simulator, players take on the role of a shop owner tasked with transforming a modest comic store into a thriving hub for fans. Players can purchase comic licences, hire staff, and host events such as book signings. Rare editions can also be collected and sold at premium prices.
The game introduces elements of management and light roleplay, with players required to protect their shop from troublemakers, keep it clean, and explore surrounding environments inspired by Japanese backstreets.
Founded in July 2022, Akhir Pekan Studio has become known for its light-hearted comedy simulators, including Pecel Lele Simulator, Laundry Store Simulator, Gaming Cafe Life, Warnet Life, and This Is Not A Battle Simulator.
For the Comic Book Store Simulator, Poland-based game company PlayWay S.A. is listed as the game publisher. The game demo is currently available on the Steam page.
