On Monday (3/11), Yogyakarta-based developer Gambir Studio released its latest mobile title, Cita Rasa Nusantara, now available as a free download on the Google Play Store. An App Store version is also planned for a later date.

Cita Rasa Nusantara is the studio’s newest entry in the cooking-game genre, following its previous hits such as Selera Nusantara, Warung Seblak Nusantara, and Bubur Ayam Express. This time, players run a series of small food stalls, preparing dishes according to customer orders. Quick and accurate service earns additional tips, which can be used to upgrade cooking tools and equipment. The game is designed in portrait mode for easy, accessible play on the go.

The story follows Cita, a passionate K-pop fan who dreams of becoming a renowned chef like her idol, Siska. Her enthusiasm and occasional clumsiness sometimes lead to several challenges as she begins her culinary journey. Guided by Siska’s career journal and supported by a cast of helpful characters, Cita gradually learns what it takes to thrive in the food business.

At launch, Cita Rasa Nusantara features sixteen menu items for players to prepare. These range from regional Indonesian favourites such as pempek and nasi padang to nationwide classics like fried rice, satay, and meatball soup. Modern dishes such as instant noodles and seblak are also included.
