After an initial release plan for September 2025 was postponed, Berangin Creative‘s latest game Kejora has now officially launched on Steam as of 15 January 2026. For this game, Berangin Creative partnered with Soft Source as the publisher for the release.
In the game, players will play as Kejora, a young girl who finds herself pursued by monstrous entities after uncovering a terrifying secret. Accompanied by her close friends, Kejora embarks on a journey to unravel the hidden truths lurking beneath the tranquil facade of her village.
First revealed in 2020, the game quickly drew attention for its hand-drawn 2D visuals and its striking rural setting. At first, it was presented as a run-and-gun sidescroller inspired by Cuphead. However during the development, Kejora has since undergone a major redesign. The project evolved into a puzzle-platforming adventure that places a stronger emphasis on environmental puzzles and a more mysterious atmosphere.
In August 2023, the studio released the game’s Steam page and also released the demo later that year. In 2025, Berangin and Soft Source announced that the game would be released on 4 September 2025. However, the launch date was later postponed as it coincided with the release date of another popular puzzle platformer game, Hollow Knight: Silksong.
Interestingly, Kejora is not the only game that delayed its release due to Hollow Knight: Silksong. Some others game who planned to release in September, like CloverPit, Faeland, Aeterna Lucis, and many more, have also delayed their release.
Established in 2019, Berangin Creative is a video game and animation studio based in Indonesia. They are known for creating 2D animation trailers, content, and promotional videos for other Indonesian game studios such as Frame Rats and Digital Happiness.
