Garena Indonesia has officially launched a special collaboration event between the mobile game Free Fire and the popular anime series Gintama. The event runs from 24 April to 23 May 2026 and incorporates elements from the spin-off Mr. Ginpachi’s Zany Class.
One of the main highlights of the collaboration is the addition of the Yorozuya headquarters within the game’s Battle Royale mode. The iconic two-storey building appears across the map, featuring a detailed recreation of the Yorozuya office on the upper floor and the well-known Otose Izakaya on the ground level. Players can explore the structure during matches, bringing elements of the Gintama universe into the game’s battlefield setting.
The collaboration also introduces themed defensive items, including a Yorozuya-inspired Gloo Wall. In addition to its in-game function, the item serves as a limited collectable tied to the event.
Players can obtain various character bundles based on Gintama characters, such as Gintoki Sakata and Kagura, available in both their original anime designs and their school uniform versions from Mr Ginpachi’s Zany Class. A bundle based on the mascot Elizabeth is also included.
Alongside character skins, the event features a range of themed cosmetic items inspired by the series’ comedic elements. These include accessories such as Gintoki’s strawberry-pattern underwear, Sogo Okita’s red eye mask, and Shinpachi Shimura’s glasses. Weapon skins are also part of the collaboration, including a Kagura-inspired umbrella-themed Winchester rifle and Gintoki’s wooden sword, Toyako.
The event further includes a series of missions that reward players with exclusive in-game items. By logging in and completing challenges during the event period, players can obtain various rewards, including a Gintama-themed motorbike skin, a Justaway-inspired grenade, and additional items referencing characters such as Hijikata.
