On Monday (27/4), Shueisha has officially announced that Kagurabachi manga will receive an anime adaptation. The anime is currently scheduled to premiere in Spring 2027, with CyPic (formerly known as Cygames Pictures) producing the animation.

The anime will be directed by Tetsuya Takeuchi (From Bureaucrat to Villainess: Dad’s Been Reincarnated!, Yuri Seijin Naoko-san), with character designs handled by Keigo Sasaki (Seven Deadly Sins). Taihi Kimura will voice the main character Chihiro Rokuhira.

Written and illustrated by Takeru HokazonoKagurabachi has been serialised in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump since September 2023. It tells the story of Chihiro, the son of a famous swordsmith, who hopes to follow in his father’s footsteps. One day, his father is murdered by a gang of criminal sorcerers seeking his enchanted blades. Left alone, Chihiro vows to take revenge.

The Kagurabachi manga is also available on Shueisha’s online manga platform MangaPlus in various languages, including Indonesian.
