On Monday (1/1), Indonesian book publisher Elex Media Komputindo posted a list of their best-selling comics in 2023. Detektif Conan volume 101 takes first place, followed by Jujutsu Kaisen volume 8 and One Piece volume 101 in second and third place.

This list is self-reported by the publisher and is not from an independent observer. Numbers of copies sold or in circulation are not disclosed. Furthermore, only one highest-selling volume of each series is listed, even if the series had more than one volume released by the publisher in the same year.
Written and illustrated by Gosho Aoyama, Detektif Conan has been serialized in Shogakukan‘s Weekly Shounen Sunday Magazine since 1994. The story follows a high school detective named Shinichi Kudo whose body has been shrunk by a poison created by a mysterious organization. While the organization assumes he has been killed, Shinichi disguises himself as a kid named Conan Edogawa, solving criminal cases while investigating the mysteries behind that organization.
Written and illustrated by Gege Akutami, Jujutsu Kaisen manga tells the story of Yuji Itadori, a student who lives in a world where negative energy called Curse can bring disaster to the world. Itadori’s life changed as he became a student at a school that trains Curse exterminators. The manga has been serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump since March 2018. The manga also received an anime adaptation.
One Piece follows the adventures of Luffy, a boy who can stretch his body like rubber from eating a Devil Fruit and dreams of becoming the pirate king. He and his pirate crew sail the seas in search of the One Piece, a legendary treasure hidden by the pirate king Gol D. Roger before his death.
Elex Media Komputindo is a comics publisher under the Kompas-Gramedia Group. The publisher releases licensed foreign comics, including manga and Indonesian comics. Since 2005, Elex Media also published comics that were intended for adult audiences under the new imprint called Level Comics.
