Sarga.co, the organiser of the horse racing tournament Indonesian Derby 2025, has launched a fanart competition themed around the winner King Argentine. The competition was announced on Friday (1/8) via Sarga.co’s official social media platforms and is open to the public.
The competition runs from 1 to 19 August 2025, with submissions closed on 7 August and the winner announcement scheduled on 19 August. Interested participants can register and submit their entries through this link.
Currently, the popularity of horse racing sports in Indonesia has seen a noticeable rise after the global release of the Uma Musume: Pretty Derby video game. On social media, several Indonesian illustrators have shared their own Uma Musume-style characters based on the legendary local racehorses. Sarga.co has responded positively to this rise of interest, actively engaged with fan comments on social media.
The live stream of Indonesian Derby 2025 also attracted significant attention from local Uma Musume fans, reaching 300,000 views on YouTube, making it the most-watched horse racing livestream on Sarga.co’s YouTube channel.
Uma Musume: Pretty Derby is a Japanese video game developed by Cygames. The game features anthropomorphised racehorses that are inspired by real-life racehorses. Originally released as a mobile game in 2016, the game was finally released on PC in June 2025 alongside its global release.
