The latest instalment in the Detective Conan film series, Detective Conan: One-Eyed Flashback, is set to premiere in Indonesian cinemas on 17 September 2025. The announcement was made by the film distributor CBI Pictures on their social media.
The film will be screened in Indonesia in various formats, including Regular 2D, 4DX, ScreenX, and IMAX. It will be available in several major cinema chains, including CGV, Cinepolis, XXI, FLIX Cinema, Golden Theatre, and Surya Yudha Cinema.
Directed by Katsuya Shigehara, One-Eyed Flashback is the twenty-eighth entry in the Detective Conan film series, which is based on the manga by Gosho Aoyama. The film originally premiered in Japanese theatres on 18 April 2025, and became the second-highest-grossing Japanese film of 2025 at the time of this writing.
The original manga of Detective Conan has been serialised in Shogakukan‘s Weekly Shounen Sunday Magazine since 1994. The story follows a high school detective named Shinichi Kudo whose body has been shrunk by a poison created by a mysterious organisation. While the organisation assumes he has been killed, Shinichi disguises himself as a kid named Conan Edogawa, solving criminal cases while investigating the mysteries behind that organisation.
In Indonesia, the manga has been published by Elex Media Komputindo and frequently becomes the publisher’s best-selling title. The anime adaptation was also aired in Indonesia, first by Indosiar until 2014 and later continued by NET since 2020.
