After releasing Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly, Indonesian video game developer Toge Productions and UK-based publisher Chorus Worldwide have officially announced the next entry in the Coffee Talk series, Coffee Talk Tokyo. The game is scheduled for release on 5 March 2026 West Indonesian Time (GMT+7) on PC via Steam, Xbox One, Xbox X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 5.
This new instalment invites players to run a cosy café nestled in the bustling heart of Tokyo, a city where humans and yokai coexist. As before, players will brew coffee, listen to their customers’ stories, and explore the quiet, introspective side of urban life in Japan’s capital.
Like its predecessors, Coffee Talk Tokyo focuses on intimate storytelling and a relaxing, dialogue-driven experience. This time, however, the game introduces a fresh cast of characters, including Kenji, a retired kappa searching for meaning after his career; Vin, a barista’s assistant with a troubled past; and Ayame, a celebrity who recently passed away and now seeks to understand life beyond death. Their stories unfold against the atmospheric backdrop of Tokyo, blending elements of tradition and modernity.
Returning composer Andrew “AJ” Jeremy once again provides a soothing lo-fi soundtrack that complements the café’s tranquil mood. Players can also experiment with new drink options such as iced hojicha and create personalised latte art using stencil powders for an extra touch of creativity.
A new social feature called Tomodachill allows players to connect more deeply with their patrons through an in-game social network, uncovering personal stories or helping them find purpose in their lives.
