On Thursday (31/10), Indonesian developer Toge Productions has released a major new update for their latest project Whisper Mountain Outbreak. The new update, Rogue Update, brings various new features, quality-of-life improvements, and community-requested additions to the game.
The new updates of the game include:

Branching Roguelike Map – Choose your own path through each run, shaping your journey with strategic routes and unique encounters.

Updated Wardrobe Options – New skin colour options to better personalise your appearance.

New Character Cosmetics – You can play as a nurse, miner, or firefighter.

New Mission Type: Defense – Survive relentless waves of undead until the timer runs out. You can find a Repair Kit to shorten the countdown.

Map Modifiers – Tougher enemies, toxic spills, more zombies, no ammo loot, and more to challenge you.

Combined Maps – Known areas, different twists! Revisit familiar maps, remixed from a different perspective to explore.

Weapon Dismantle – Break down unused gear and turn it into useful crafting materials for your next upgrade.

Unload Ammo – Found a gun while already carrying one? No problem! Now you can strip its ammo and keep the bullets for your own weapon.

Assault Rifle Attachment – You can now equip your crafted attachments to the Assault Rifle, making it an even more powerful ranged weapon.

New Undead Anomaly: Hollow Baby – A disturbing, infant-like anomaly has been sighted. Its movements are erratic, and getting too close might not be the best idea.

Halloween Update: Undead with Pumpkin Head – For this year’s Halloween treat, we’ve added a little spooky trick: some zombies are now sporting pumpkin heads!

Updated Skills – Herbology, cardio, and endurance are now updated.

Bug Fixes – Desync issues, reconnect problems, and save & load bugs are now squished.
In Whisper Mountain Outbreak, players take on the role of agents from a secret government bureau assigned to investigate and eliminate paranormal threats. The game is set in a remote, mist-shrouded mountainous area called Mt. Bisik, where players must escape by exploring abandoned buildings, fighting monsters, scavenging resources, and solving puzzles.
Players can choose from three random classes out of six available specialisations, each offering unique skills that influence gameplay. Players will need to work together to survive. Whether by sticking together or splitting up, teams must balance resource management, puzzle-solving, and combat to survive the ever-growing horrors of the mountain.

At the start of each run, choose from three random classes (out of six total). Each class has unique perks and skills, allowing for different playstyles and strategies.
Whisper Mountain Outbreak was released as an Early Access game on 12 August 2025. The game has sold over 75,000 copies and been played by more than 200,000 players since its release. Previously, the developer also announced the Friend’s Pass feature for the game. With this feature, players who do not own Whisper Mountain Outbreak can join a friend’s lobby and experience the game in full co-op mode.
The developer also announced that they plan to release a comic based on Whisper Mountain Outbreak. However, more details about this have not been announced yet.
Established in 2009, Toge Productions is an Indonesian game developer and publisher based in Tangerang. Other titles released by the publisher in cooperation with other Indonesian developers include A Space For The Unbound (With Mojiken Studio), My Lovely Wife (With GameChanger Studio), Rising Hell (With Tahoe Production), and point-and-click puzzle Adventure When The Past Was Around (With Mojiken Studio).
