The latest video game by SeblaccSoft, Bail Force: Cyberpunk Bounty Hunters, is scheduled to launch on Steam for PC on 16 January 2026. The game is a 2D side-scrolling action roguelite and has also been confirmed to be fully compatible with the Steam Deck.
Published by YSY Softworks alongside indie.io, the game is set in New Rise City, a metropolis left in ruins following a devastating war against artificial intelligence. The story will focus on Angel, a young man who becomes a bounty hunter after his close friend is murdered by a criminal gang. His pursuit of vengeance is opposed by his girlfriend, Eris, who asks their high school friend Lea to stop him.
Players can choose between two main characters: Angel or Lea. Each character offers distinct playstyles and story paths. Angel specialises in close-quarters melee combat, while Lea focuses on ranged attacks. As a roguelite experience, Bail Force features procedurally generated maps and enemies. While defeat sends players back to their base, permanent upgrades can be unlocked to improve future runs.
Combat goes beyond simply defeating enemies. Through the game’s Arrest System, players can capture severely wounded human enemies to earn higher rewards, with these actions also influencing the story’s direction. An Adaptive Combat System further raises the challenge by allowing enemies to learn from the player’s preferred combat style and adjust their behaviour and stats accordingly.
