Indonesian indie video game TypeCaster has been selected to appear at the Tokyo Indie Game Summit 2026. Developed by TBA Studio, TypeCaster is the only game from Indonesia featured in this year’s Tokyo Indie Game Summit line-up.

The Tokyo Indie Game Summit is an international indie game festival held in Tokyo, Japan, bringing together developers, publishers, media, content creators, and players from around the world. This year’s edition is scheduled for 20 – 21 March 2026.

By participating in the event, TBA Studio aims to introduce TypeCaster to a broader international audience, including players, publishers, media, and other industry professionals attending the summit.

TypeCaster is a typing simulator that puts players in the “role” of a thief cursed with a slow, agonising death. To lift the curse, they must ascend the Tower of Trials, a mysterious structure filled with monsters, traps, and ancient secrets.

In this game, every spell must be typed out using the keyboard, combining typing accuracy with fast-paced combat and strategic decision-making. Players will not only rely on reflexes but also on quick thinking and typing speed to survive. Along the way, they can uncover treasures, wield stolen artefacts, and confront powerful enemies guarding each floor of the tower.

TBA Studio is a video game studio based in Jakarta, Indonesia. Before TypeCaster, TBA studio released I Am Trash Dev and Pipop’s Factory, with both games available on the studio’s itch.io.
