On Friday (11/7), the X (formerly Twitter) account of Elex Media’s comic editor posted a list of their best-selling comic books in June 2025. DAN DA DAN volume 4 took the first place, followed by Kaoru & Rin volume 9 and Dragon Ball Super volume 21 in the second and third place, respectively.

Written and illustrated by Yukinobu Tatsu, DANDADAN has been serialised in Shueisha’s Shōnen Jump+ app and website since April 2021. DANDADAN tells the story of Momo, a girl born into a shaman family, and the occult maniac, Okarun. The two started talking after Momo helped Okarun, who was bullied. However, a disagreement breaks out between them. To make each other believe in aliens and ghosts, Momo goes to the hospital’s ruins where the UFO appeared, and Okarun goes to the haunted tunnel. There, the two encounter extraordinary entities that go beyond common sense.
The anime adaptation of DANDADAN was aired in the fall 2024 season, with the animation handled by Science Saru. In Indonesia, DANDANDAN anime is available on various streaming services, including Crunchyroll, Netflix, Muse Asia, Muse Indonesia, and Bstation. DANDADAN season 2 is currently airing this season.
Written and illustrated by Saka Mikami, The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity-Kaoru & Rin tells the story of Rintarou Tsumugi, a student at Chidori Public High School who is avoided by people because of his intimidating face. One day, she met Kaoruko Waguri at his family’s cake shop. Kaoruko is not afraid of his scary demeanour, and Rintarou easily forms a friendship with her. However, there’s one problem: Kaoruko is a student at the neighbouring Kikyo Private Academy, a school for wealthy people and people with good family backgrounds. In contrast, Chidori Public High School is a school that is full of delinquents and outcasts. Can they keep their friendship amidst the different social standings?
The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity-Kaoru & Rin has been serialized in Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket website app since 2021. The manga has been nominated for several awards, including the 2022 Next Manga Awards in the web manga category, the 47th Kodansha Manga Award in the shōnen manga category, and the 2022 Tsutaya Comic Awards.
Dragon Ball Super is a sequel to Akira Toriyama‘s Dragon Ball manga. Illustrated by Toyotaro and overseen by Akira Toriyama, the manga tells the event after the defeat of Majin Buu and following the events of the Battle of Gods and Resurrection ‘F’ anime feature films. The manga started its serialization in V-Jump magazine in June 2015.
