Indonesian payment service provider UniPin has launched a new cross-industry campaign, Bangga Main Lokal (“Proud to Play Locally”), aimed at blending the gaming experience with local culinary culture. The campaign was unveiled on 8 August 2025 during a press conference at the Indonesia Gaming Week event, attended by key figures including Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene Umar and Rahayu Saraswati, Deputy Chair of Commission VII of the Indonesian House of Representatives.
The campaign encourages collaboration between the local games industry and Indonesia’s food and beverage sector, enabling consumers to earn exclusive in-game items and top-ups through F&B purchases. In turn, F&B customers are introduced to Indonesian video games via interactive channels.
Local developers participating in the programme include Anantarupa Studios, Lentera Nusantara, Gaco Games, and Ikan Asin Productions, working alongside F&B partners such as Esteh Indonesia.
“UniPin wants to encourage local creative industry players to grow and expand together”, said UniPin CEO Ashadi Ang during the Press Conference. “This cross-industry collaboration should be the key, so that Bangga Main Lokal becomes not just a slogan but a shared commitment.”
Founded in 2009, UniPin operates in over 34 countries, offering payment services and game vouchers through a wide range of methods including bank transfers, e-wallets, e-commerce platforms, and retail chains. The company’s CEO emphasised that Bangga Main Lokal is designed to position UniPin not only as a service provider but also as a global growth partner for domestic developers, publishers, and non-gaming brands.
