Indonesian video game developer Gajah Mada Gameworks has announced Warna, a new visual novel that blends high-school romance with mystery. A free demo is now available on Itch.io, with the full title available to wishlist on Steam. The exact release date has not been announced yet.
Set in the city of Bandung, the story follows Bayu, a transfer student haunted by his past who seeks a fresh start. Later, he encounters three girls, each hiding scars of their own. What begins as a teenage romance quickly unravels into a character mystery.
In Warna, players can interact with three main characters: Evi, a charming football star; Widya, a bookworm who loves to paint; and Inggrit, the strict but gentle class president. Interestingly, a secret romance path might be available when the players meet certain conditions.
The game offers four romance routes, stat-driven progression, and branching narrative choices shaped by attributes such as Strength, Intelligence, and Creativity. As Bayu, players will balance school life, relationships, and part-time jobs while confronting difficult decisions.
