Phoenix Gramedia Indonesia has announced they will publish the manga and light novel of Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines in Indonesia. Further details regarding the release date have not been announced yet.
Written by Takibi Amamori and illustrated by Imigimuru, the story of Makeine focused on Kazuhiko Nukumizu, a self-proclaimed “background character” who wishes to live a quiet high school life. But one day, he accidentally witnesses Anna Yanami, a popular girl in his class, being rejected by her childhood friend. Because of this, he labels Anna as a “losing heroine”. But after that, he started to become friends with Anna and the other “losing heroines”.
The life novel began publication under Shogakukan’s Gagaga Bunko in July 2021. A manga adaptation illustrated by Itachi began serialisation on Shogakukan’s Ura Sunday website and MangaOne app in April 2022.
