Previously, it was announced that Indonesian game developer Stairway Games has released a new demo for their upcoming game Funguys Swarm on Steam. On Tuesday (10/6), the new update for that demo was launched as part of Steam’s Southeast Asian Games Showcase.
According to their patch note, the main addition in this new demo is the introduction of a new weapon watermelon axe which now allows players to pick 2 skills. Other updates include fixing the balancing issue, bug fixing, performance improvements, and UI support for the 16:10 aspect ratio.
Funguys Swarm is a roguelite bullet game about protecting the forest from the fire king’s flaming minions. In this game, the player will control a fungus-like creature called Funguys to save forest creatures and create a sanctuary for them. A demo was previously released in May 2025, while the exact release date has not been announced yet.
