Mahakarya Studio has officially launched the website of Astral Bond, a fantasy mobile tower defence game that celebrates the Indonesian cultural heritage. The website is now live at www.astralbond.com.

As a game, Astral Bond blends tower defence gameplay with a narrative that is shaped by Indonesian mythology, history, and folklore. The game introduces characters, spirits, and creatures inspired by stories passed down through generations, offering a heartfelt homage to the archipelago’s diverse traditions and legends.
Set in a realm where the human world (Sekala) has merged with the spirit world (Niskala), Astral Bond follows twin siblings Satria and Kinara as they embark on a journey to reunite with their missing family and friends. Along their path, players will encounter travelling companions and mythical beings such as dedemit, lelembut, and siluman, as well as legendary figures from Indonesian folklore, all while uncovering the grand mystery that binds both worlds together.
To enrich the experience, the game combines their gameplay with cultural elements such as Pancalan, a system inspired by Javanese weton astrology, the use of sacred heirlooms (pusaka), mystical seals (rajah) for character enhancement, and the rewang system. Through this unique blend, the game aspires to bridge traditional values with modern gameplay sensibilities.
Outside the game, Mahakarya Studio also released a webtoon based on the Astral Bond IP. The webtoon, titled Astral Bond: Klub Warisan Nusantara, is currently available on LINE Webtoon and has been serialised since 2024.

After finishing the website, Mahakarya Studio will also set to launch a Kickstarter campaign, which will offer limited-time exclusive rewards for early backers. Interested players can visit the campaign’s preview page here and click “Notify Me on Launch” to receive updates once it goes live.
